# Staking Rewards

The staking contract will own a total of 25’000’000 $HOLY dedicated and usable only for staking rewards, as defined in the [Tokenomics of the project](https://holygrails-io.gitbook.io/documents/tokenomics).

## Staking Bonuses

For the $HOLY staking we defined two bonuses  which support the fairly distribution to all users of the NFT Marketplace. The Bonuses aiming to reward users more if they participate more

* If you Stake more = there is a “[Bigger Bonus](#bigger-bonus)”
* if you Stake longer = there is a “[Longer Bonus](#longer-bonus)”

The main difference between these two staking bonuses is that the **Bigger Bonus** rewards allows the users to get more rewards if they stake higher amounts of tokens - While for the **Longer Bonus**, users are able to earn more rewards by subscribing for longer staking periods.

### **Bigger Bonus**

The user earns more staking rewards if he stake higher amounts of $HOLY tokens. The maximum reward possible will be 15% for staking of 40’000 or more $HOLY tokens.  There will be a "cap" on 40'000 $HOLY / 15,00% for bigger bonus calculation.

### Staking Cap

There is a staking cap for the Big bonus, the cap is fixed on 40’000 $HOLY. This means that the user are eligible to earn rewards for max 40'000 $HOLY he staked, even user stakes more $HOLYs which is possible, the calculation for rewards will be based on the max amount of 40'000 $HOLY.  Users are allowed to to stake multiple times, if they want.

### **Multiple stakings from same users**

If user created multiple stakings on $HOLY grail, with different amounts/periods of $HOLY then this will be handled as one total staking amount to get eligible for “Bigger Bonus” \

## Longer Bonus

Users who stake for a longer time will earn with more rewards, a max 300 % for 1500 days.

### **Calculation for the “Longer Bonus”**

For “Longer Bonus” we decided that the user gets up to 300% if he stakes for the maximum of 1500 days. It would make 300% / (1500 / 365 days) = 73% APR\
The maximum payable “Longer Bonus” a user can get are 73% + 15% = 88% APR\
\
**Formula is:** \
Long Bonus Reward r per day d = r(d) = A + B\*d\
Long Bonus total reward R after D days = R(D) {return A*D + (B \* D*(D+1)/2)}

### $HOLY Staking key facts

* Maximum staking amount per user/address is unlimited $HOLY tokens but the the maximum amount on $HOLY a user can earn rewards are capped to 40’000 $HOLY tokens.
* Minimum staking amount per user/address is 5 $HOLY token.
* Minimum Staking period is 30 days.
* Maximum Staking period is 1500 days.
* User is unable to un-stake before his selected staking period ends.
* User/address are allowed to do multiple stakings.
* Multiple stakings where added up, for calculating the “Bigger Bonus”\ <br>
